2016 marked AEA’s 50th Anniversary since its founding in 1966. Global Evangelical leaders including AEA’s membership from 36 national alliances, church leaders, scholars, non-state actors and other stakeholders from Africa and beyond met in Nairobi for a consultation themed “The Africa God Wants”. Recognizing the reality that Africa belongs to God and that AEA carries the mantle of God’s Word, it thus sees an opportunity to render the voice of God in “The Africa We Want” so it becomes “The Africa God Wants.”
