The Africa Study Bible (ASB) was officially launched in Nairobi, 30 March 2017. The Study ASB is a very significant development in the history of the Church especially in Africa. The ASB is first of its kind, second only to the Africa Bible Commentary, published in 2006. The ASB was developed by Africans with over 2,600 notes written by 350 contributors from 50 countries. Other launches are scheduled for April 10-12, Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa on June 4-11, and Abuja and Lagos, Nigeria on June 29-July 1, 2017.

Oasis partnered with Tyndale House Publishers and Tyndale House Foundation to create the Bible. Other participants and supporters include the Association of Evangelicals in Africa, Wycliffe, Willow Creek and Willow Creek Global Leadership Summit, IFES (International Fellowship of Evangelical Students), Scripture Union, Center for Early African Christianity, PJA (Publications pour la Jeunesse Africane), SIM, UMI, and Moody Bible Institute.
