Com muitos anos de experi\u00eancia em diversas fun\u00e7\u00f5es na AEM, o Dr. Schirrmacher foi recomendado pelo Comit\u00ea de Busca, entre mais de uma d\u00fazia de candidatos, e confirmado por unanimidade pelo CI em uma teleconfer\u00eancia realizada em 27 de outubro. Ele assumir\u00e1 a lideran\u00e7a da AEM em 1\u00ba de mar\u00e7o de 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O Secret\u00e1rio-Geral cessante, Bispo Efraim Tendero, comentou: \u201c\u00c9 com grande alegria que, no in\u00edcio do pr\u00f3ximo ano, entregarei a administra\u00e7\u00e3o da WEA ao Dr. Thomas Schirrmacher, a pessoa mais bem preparada para liderar o corpo global de evang\u00e9licos rumo ao futuro. Como temos colaborado na Equipe de Lideran\u00e7a S\u00eanior da WEA por v\u00e1rios anos, vi nele o carisma, a compet\u00eancia e a capacidade que se combinam com o car\u00e1ter, a convic\u00e7\u00e3o e o chamado de Deus, necess\u00e1rios para uma tarefa t\u00e3o global.
