INTEGRATED MISSIONAL DISCIPLESHIP MOVEMENT ACROSS AFRICA

The AEA Missions Department operates with a clear fourfold focus to catalyze an integrated missional discipleship movement that is biblically grounded, contextually relevant, and continentally scalable.

    1. Strategize: Designing Continental and Contextual Missional Frameworks

We develop and align integrated, missional discipleship frameworks tailored to Africa’s diverse realities. This includes:

    • Crafting theological and practical frameworks that reflect Jesus’ disciple-making method.
    • Facilitating strategic consultations with continental and national leaders to shape direction and unify purpose.
    • Integrating Agenda 2063, the Gospel of the Kingdom, and biblical justice into mission planning.
    1. Mobilize: Network and Ignite the National Movements

We mobilize the Evangelical churches across Africa for action by:

    • Partnering with the National Evangelical Fellowships (NEFs) in all 54 countries to lead integrated missional discipleship initiatives.
    • Launching a unified approach, such as “One More Hour on Sundays,” to anchor structured missional discipleship into the weekly rhythm of the church.
    • Creating platforms for collaboration among denominations, institutions, and mission agencies.
    1. Train: Equipping Leaders for Strategic Missional Discipleship Engagement.

We build the capacity of leaders at every level through:

    • Contextual training modules on core discipleship themes: Gospel of the Kingdom, spiritual formation, and mission.
    • Implementing two-year Disciple-Making Leader (DML) cohorts to equip national and regional leaders.
    • Developing tools, manuals, and resources that churches and fellowships can immediately apply.
    1. Mentor: Forging a life-on-life and relational accountability

We prioritize relationship-based mentoring to foster growth in character and leadership skills.

    • Providing consistent coaching and group mentoring for key NEFs leaders
    • Coming alongside leaders as they reflect, adapt, and sharpen AEA strategies.
    • Embedding a culture of accountability, multiplication, and spiritual transformation in all we do.
