Emerging Leaders’ Summit 2027

The Global Alliance Church Multiplication (GACX) will host an Emerging Leaders’ Summit February 1 – 6, 2027, in Nairobi, Kenya. This international gathering will bring together 250 younger church-planting leaders from every region of the world for a week of equipping, mentoring, and collaboration. Participant and mentor registration is ongoing in a two-step process. Currently, phase one is for nomination of participants and application of mentors. Later, phase two will be registration for participants and mentors, who will have been selected and invited by GACX.

For nominations of participants, anyone in church multiplication can nominate a participant. The ideal nomination is from a trusted mentor or church-planting leader who knows the applicant well. Participants must be key emerging leaders, ages 20 – 45, who are involved with church planting of some form. These nominations are open now and will be accepted through July 31, 2026. After this, reviews will be conducted by the GACX Steering Committee by the end of August 2026, and afterwards, invitations will be sent in early September 2026.

GACX is also gathering a select group of experienced mentors, ages 45 and above, to spend this week with the younger church-planting leaders. They will spend significant time encouraging, sharing experiences, and praying for their participants. These mentors are ideally experienced leaders in church planting and global mission and are required to apply for themselves. Mentor applications are open now and will be accepted through July 31, 2026, after which reviews by the GACX Steering Committee will proceed to the end of August 2026. Later, invitations to register will be sent in early September 2026.

This Emerging Leaders’ Summit is a dynamic event for next-gen leaders to explore and embrace the mission entrusted to their generation. In a relational atmosphere, there will be raw, honest conversations about the challenges of church planting today, such as persecution, political hostility, LGBTQ pressures, atheism, syncretism, and more. There will also be an opportunity to share and gather best practices in church planting and build a global network of young leaders to foster collaboration. One of the major goals during the summit is for an inter-generational climate of interaction. While honouring the past, the mentors participating in the event will coach the next-gen leaders to lead with courage and wisdom into the future. 

This summit will address a critical gap: many high-potential emerging leaders are isolated and lack access to the mentoring and spiritual encouragement needed to sustain their work. By providing mentoring, cross-cultural relationships, and practical tools for partnership, GACX strengthens the foundation of a globally connected church that can respond more effectively to the world’s changing context. Investing in younger leaders today multiplies long-term kingdom impact and accelerates progress toward a multiplying, sustaining, and healthy church in all places among all peoples.

Through the power of the Holy Spirit, a day is coming when people from every tribe, every language, and every nation will stand before the throne of God. Therefore, the global church is invited to pray for faith, courage and hope for the leaders who are stepping forward to carry the mission of Jesus Christ into the future, to the ends of the earth.
