CELEBRATING A SUCCESSFUL ACTEA BOARD MEETING IN KINSHASA, DRC
Strengthening Theological Education across Africa
We bless the Lord for a successful board meeting of the Association for Christian Theological Education in Africa (ACTEA) that happened in Kinshasa, DRC from the 5th of June 2024. ACTEA is a ministry of The Association of Evangelicals in Africa (AEA) having been constituted as a project of its Theological and Christian Education Commission (TCEC) in 1976.
This institution exists to serve theological institutions in Africa in three primary ways: promoting quality theological training through institutional reviews and academic recognition (accreditation); providing institutional support services and capacity-building forums for leaders and faculty of theological institutions; and facilitating networking and cooperation among Africa’s theological institutions.
ACTEA’s mission is to strengthen theological education through accreditation, research, and capacity. This is in line with the institution’s vision of a vibrant African Church transforming society. By the grace of God, ACTEA continues to strengthen theological education in Africa and particularly in the Francophone region; this being one of the major areas of discussion in the Kinshasa meetings in the past week.
Therefore, let us continue to stand in support of this wonderful association as it fulfils its mandate of fortifying theological education in Africa and for Africa, that identifies with the evangelical faith.
